Libby Invitational

The Sandpoint Boys Varsity and JV teams both placed 1st Friday
at the Libby Invitational. The boys tied with Columbia Falls with 52 points, and won on the 6th place tie breaker. Jimmy Matthews was 4th overall with a 16:28 on the 3 mile course, followed by David Marienau (7th 16:36) and Danny Pfeifer (11th 16:42). Evan Rains was the 6th runner, placing 17th with a 17:31.

In the JV race, Mason Foster won the race in a 17:39, and boys had 6 in the top 10, scoring 23 to win the race. There were 8 boys who made the top 25 all time 3 mile list.

The Sandpoint girls varsity placed 5th in the race, led by Molly Burgstahler. Molly was 10th overall with a time of 20:53. Shanysa Reid (23, 22:33) and Lindsey Anderson (28, 22:41) also helped pace the front pack for the girls.

The JV girls placed 2nd to Glacier by a score of 28 to 34. Ashley Anderson, Mariah Breakey, Calena Lawson and Danette Mauck place in the top 10, with the first 3 earning varsity spots for next week.
