Jacey's Race

A number of SHSXC members competed in Jacey's Race this past weekend, with 5 of them placing in the top 10 overall. Danny Pfeifer was 2nd overall with a time of 18:03. David Marieinau was 5th running an 18:56, Mikka Nostdahl was 6th running a 18:57, and Evan Rains was 10th in a 20:04. For the girls, Molly Burgstahler was 5th running a 22:32.
Jacey's Race was a huge success year, with 246 5k finishers and over 300 1k finishers in the kids race. Proceeds for the race went to local cancer patients and cancer organizations. For more information, go to the Jacey's Race website.

Running is ultimately a personal experience. It is a revival of the spirit, a private oasis for the thirsty mind. Yet, its healing power only increases in the presence of others. Run together and the oasis grows cooler and more satisfying.
