State Cross Country Meet

Sandpoint competed in the state cross country meet this weekend. Megan Bartlett capped off her cross country career with a 2nd place finish, running an 18:26 at Eagle Island State Park in Boise. She helped lead her team to a 7th place finish at the meet. Kat Vardell placed 26th in a 20:35, and Molly Burgstahler was 37th. Other Sandpoint competitors were Vicky Vardell, Sarah Addington, Audrey Shaw and Emily Thompson. Kat, Vicky and Emily were also running their last high school race and will be missed next year.

The Sandpoint boys placed 12th, led by Danny Pfeifer's 17:37. Evan Rains, Tim Householter, Mason Foster, Matt Sisson, Kevin Pfeifer and Jeremiah Prummer rounded out the competitors for Sandpoint. This was the last race for Matt and Kevin as well. The boys pack time was a 20 second improvement over last year.
