Farragut Invitational

Sandpoint competed at the Farragut Invitational this weekend. The varsity girls and boys both took 3rd in the Varsity A division, and the JV girls were 2nd overall.
In the varsity girls race, Megan Bartlett finished 3rd with a 20:40. Kat Vardell was 6th with a 21:57, Molly Burgstahler was 17th with a 23:03, Vicky Vardell was 34th with a 24:46, and Sarah Addington was 5th with a 25:57. Danette Mauck ran a 26:48 for the injured Hope Woodruff and placed 6th for the team, followed 1 second back by Calena Lawson.
For the boys varsity, Tim Householter let the way with a 19:22 (28th place), followed closely by Danny Pfeifer with a 19:27 (32nd). Matt Sisson was 3rd for the boys team with a strong 19:46, Kevin Pfeifer had a huge course PR to take the fourth spot in a 20:20, followed by Even Rains (20:44), Jeremiah Prummer (20:55) and Josh Kopsa (20:56).
The JV girls placed second overall, running with only 7 girls in the race. They were led by Emily Thompson, who place 10th in a 27:51. Delaina Hawkins was next with a 21:55, followed by Audrey Shaw, Mariah Breakey, Sydney Perrin, Alena Horowitz and Abbie Prummer.
The JV Boys team took 3rd out of 11 teams led by Tony Charoz with a 19:20. The next 4 were Kevin Clyde, Mason Foster, Ethan Kopiecki and Niklas Nienas. The entire team did a fantastic job of displacing points for other teams with strong finishes throughout our 22 member team.
