Johnson finishes career with PR at NTN11/11/2007
Rebecca Johnson ended her SHSXC high school career with a personal record at the Northwest Regional NTN meet on Saturday, November 10th. She ran a 20:54 in the girls varsity race, which was a 22 second PR. Megan Bartlett capped off a great season by placing 7th in the championship division, running the 5k course in 18:46. Crystal Crawford ran a 23:36, Sarah Addington ran a 24:43, and Emily Thompson ran a 25:17 in the Girls JV race.
For the boys, David Householter finished off a great high school career with a 17:37 in the Boys Varsity race. Sam Sisson also ran his last race, running the course in an 18:52. The Boys JV did very well in the tough field placing 8th in the competition. Tim Householter led the field with an 18:48, Jesse Javana ran an 18:52, Kevin Clyde ran a 19:00, Matt Sission finished with a 19:12, Tony Charvoz a 19:14, and Jerry Prummer came in with a 19:53. The team held a tight pack throughout the race and finished with a 19:01 average.
Also, a big thank you to Hope Woodruff, who would have much rather been running but did a great job of supporting her team.

inspirations
"Why do you run?" Because you are wondering if your grandchildren will too. Because it is raining. Because you can, and others can’t. Because it is faster than walking. Because that shaky leg thing is all about nervous energy. Because you can’t fly. Because your personal best is just that, yours. Because the pain of a blister is nothing compared to the pain of stopping. Because you like the resistance the wind gives you. Just Because!
