Girls 2nd at Silverwood, boys 5th

The Sandpoint girls placed second at the Silverwood Coaster Cross Saturday. Megan Bartlett placed first in the race, beating top runners
from Borah, Capital, Centennial, North Central, Shadle Park, Rogers, French Town and more. Vicky Vardell placed 6th with a time of 20:30,
Bailey Hein was 21st with a 21:32, Christine Miller was 23 with a 21:35, Rebecca Johnson was 25th with a 21:38, and Ali Miller was 29th
with a time of 22:06. Sandpoint was without Kat Vardell, one of their top runners. The girls scores were North Central 67, Sandpoint 77,
Borah 82.

The boys team placed 5th behind strong competition from 15 schools. We came out ahead of two 5A school from the Boise area, Capital and Centennial. First place
went to Borah with 39, 2nd to Lake City with 74, 3rd to Lakeside with 124, and 4th to Shadle Park with 151. Sandpoint was 5th with 190.
David Householter led the boys with a 17:17 for 17th place. Adrian Miller was next for Sandpoint with a 17:31, Steve Teran was close behind with a 17:45.
