Host of PRs at JV Regionals

Region I hosted JV Regionals this Tuesday, and the Sandpoint Distance JV team turned in numerous personal records in the meet. To start it off, Heather Yunek shaved 56 seconds off of her former best, finishing the race in a 7:20. Maddy Kleinkoph was next in and improved her best by 21 seconds to finish in 7:28, and Jacqueline Owens ran 33 second faster than she ever had with a 7:59. This places all of the Sandpoint girls distance team under 8:00 for their 1600 time. Grace Bradley ran the 400 and finished 2nd with a time of 1:06.44, improving her PR by almost a second. Maddy ran the 400 for her last race, finishing in a 1:24.Heather and Jacqueline both ran the 800 also, and were only seconds off of their PRs with a 3:07 and a 3:32 respectively.

For the boys, the day started with the 1600 also and Clay Rasmussen placed 4th with a 5:12, improving his PR by 6 seconds. Ike Rogers was 6th with a 6 second PR of 5:18, Cole Dillon 7th in a 5:24 (PR), Daniel Radford 9th in 5:29, Dut Rogers was 11th in a 5:34 (18 second PR) Kyle Almeida ran a 14 second PR in 5:38, and Logan Finney finished with a 6:19. In the 400, James Bradley led the boys with his 5th place finish, running a PR of 56.97. Teagan Dieter was 6th in 57.04, and Kyle Almeida ran a 1:00.95 in his first 400. In the 800, Ike Rogers ran his second PR of the day, finishing 7th in a 2:24, and Logan Finney ran his toughest race of the year in a 2:47. The last race of the day was the 3200, and Cole Dillon ran a 9 second PR to finish in 11:35 for 3rd place. Daniel Radford was 5th place with a 11:57, and Dutt Rogers ran a 12:47 for 7th place. Great job today, the hard work is paying off.
