Solid Results at Rasumussen Invite04/25/2015
The Sandpoint Track and Field team was in Coeur d’Alene this past Saturday for the Rasmussen Invitation. The team was on the small side due to prom planning, but the distance contingent had another strong performance. To start off the day, the girls 4x800 team placed 2nd to Coeur d’Alene and their time (10:29.55) ranks them first amongst 4A teams. The team was comprised of Hannah Davidson, Cori McClelland, Emily Marshall and Mikhaela Woodward. Next was the 1600, and in the boys race Jacob Graham ran in the front pack and closed strong to finish with a PR of 4:40 in 4th place. Sam Powell also had a strong race finishing 8th in 4:51, and Kenny Kovalchuk ran 4:57. In the girls race Claire Pierce was the top finisher, placing 8th and running a 5:51. Sharon Rowe set a season PR with a 5:59, and Cori McClelland also set a season PR with a 6:01.

To finish up the day, 3 boys ran the 3200 and were led by Freshman Finn Lund-Andersen who ran a 10:44 for 5th place. Twin brother Peik ran a 10:58, and Quinn Donnelly come across at a 12:00.
