Sandpoint State Results

Sandpoint Cross Country did a great job at the state meet on Saturday.

The girls placed second overall in the race with 81 points, just 12 points behind Bishop Kelly of Boise who had 69 points. Megan Bartlett
ran a strong race to place 2nd overall with a time of 19:01, besting her PR by 3 seconds and moving her to number 2 on the all time Sandpoint
Cross Country list. Kat Vardell continued her great comeback with a 20:14, placing 6th overall, and Vicky Vardell ran a great race, placing
8th in a time of 20:42. Christine Miller was 34th with a time of 21:51 and Bailey Hein was 50th in 22:37, both taking almost a minute off of
their previous course PR. Rebecca Johnson ran a 23:31 and Ali Miller a 24:30 to finish out the strong top 7.

The boys also finished out the year with a great race. They finished 6th in the meet out of 12 teams, led by Steve Teran who placed 9th
with a PR time of 16:56 which moves him to 9th on the all time Sandpoint list. David Householter placed 26th (17:36), Adrian Mitchell was
30th(17:43), Jim VanEssen had a PR time 18:43, Tim Householter ran a 19:24, Zeb Smith finished with a 19:28, and Chris Dunham ran a PR
19:31.

Thanks to all of you for your hard work this year. You started back in June and worked hard all season long. We appreciate you dedication
and enjoyed this season very much!
