Levora State Medalist, places 5th

Sam Levora placed 5th at the 4A State Championships this weekend, running the course at Eagle Island in a 16:42. This caps Sam's strong season, in which he also won the District I/II Regional Title and moved into the 2nd spot on the all time 5k list for Sandpoint. For the boys team, Matt Pfeifer was the 2nd runner in an 18:16, followed by Chris Jones (18:36), James Cartwright (18:46) and Tim Prummer (19:37) to round out the top 5 scorers.
In the girls race, Sophomore Sydney Foster finished out her great season with a 21:59, and teammate Jenny VanOoyen was close behind with a 22:01. The team is now on Active Recovery, and will meet November 8th for the Awards Banquet.
